The Golem's Eye

I don't exactly know how we are supposed to do our blog on the books we have read during the term, but this is my best attempt.
The Golem's Eye is the third and final book in The Bartimaeus Trilogy. It is hard to comprehend the third book in a trilogy without some background from the first two. Nathaniel is a child living in a world filled with magicians and commoners. He is an orphan, as far as I can remember, who is living in the country of England. As an orphan he is adopted by a less-known magician who is in need of an understudy. Nathaniel is taught the ways of the magicians by his master at a tedious pace. He begins to advance quickly in this mystical art of summoning demons and other creatures (I know that it sounds satanic, but it's really not), and starts to study behind his master's back. He then continues to summon a high level demon known as Bartimaeus. He sents Bartimaeus on different quests throughout the first two books, creating a sort of love-hate relationship with the djinni.
In the third book, Nathaniel is now the youngest member of the magician council of the country, a form of government with all magicians in control. He is in charge of finding and capturing members of a team called the Resistance. While trying to find ways to blame all the recent treachory around the world on the Resistance, he discovers that the blame truly belongs to another organization. As he discovers his own aquaintances are on a mission to try to destoy the country's government, he is thrust into a world far too dangerous for a 17-year-old boy. With the help of an unlikely friend and a cocky demon, he sets out on his journey. Will he manage to stop the world from tumbling into a place of treachory and greed or die trying?
